The Easiest Ways to Learn Hadith and Its Sciences

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 8150 ):
Q7: In some of the Islamic books we read, the author may mention a hadith and state who narrated it, but does not address its degree of authenticity or weakness. By what means should we take the hadith? And what are the easiest ways to learn the sciences of hadith?
A7: First: If a hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari or Muslim tracing it back to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it is among the authentic hadiths; because the Ummah accepted the authentic collections of both of them. Second: If the hadith is not in their books, but in the Sunan, the Musnads, or the Mu'jams, the Imams mention its degree of authenticity, goodness, or weakness, and this is clarified in the appropriate places in the books of hadith. Third: The easiest ways to learn hadith and its sciences are to study it under scholars who have excelled in it; starting with the concise books on the terminology of the sciences of hadith and the conditions of the narrators in the chains of narration, such as: [Nukhbat al-Fikr] and its commentary, and [Alfiyyat al-'Iraqi] and its commentary. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
