A2: Authentic and weak hadiths are identified by studying the science of hadith terminology, knowing the chains of narration of the hadiths, and studying the conditions of the narrators through critique and vindication. The imams of hadith have left us a vast wealth that serves this aspect of hadith science. As for [Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim ], the Ummah has reached consensus on accepting them and considering them the second source after the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
