The second question of Fatwa No. ( 9136 ):
Q2: Allah the Exalted said in Surat al-'Ankabut:[Al-'Ankabut 29:41] , what is its meaning? Please inform us, may Allah reward you and forgive you.
A2: This is part of the verse in which Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, gave an example of the polytheists taking gods other than Allah, whom they call upon, cling to, hope for in times of hardship, and seek nearness to Allah through. He clarified that whoever clings to these weak gods is like one who clings to the house of the spider in its weakness and fragility, and that they do not benefit the one who seeks their help in any way. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q2: Allah the Exalted said in Surat al-'Ankabut:
And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
