Allah the Exalted alone is the one whose existence is obligatory in Himself

Fatwa number ( 2777 ):
Q1: A man says: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the barzakh (the interval between death and resurrection) between the two seas of possibility and necessity, so he has a rank above the rank of possibility and occurrence and below the rank of necessity. Please advise us?
A1: Allah the Exalted alone is the one whose existence is obligatory in Himself; He did not acquire His existence from another. Everything else among existing things is possible in itself and has acquired its existence from Allah the Exalted. Then, in its existence, it is subject to the will and power of Allah; if He (Glorified and Exalted is He) wills, He keeps it, and if He wills, He annihilates it.
And our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is like the rest of the children of Adam; Allah created him from a male and a female, as explicitly stated in the Book and the Sunnah and attested to by sensory reality. Then He took him when his appointed time ended. So his existence is possible, like that of all created things, except that Allah the Exalted distinguished him with the message, choosing him as a messenger to all people and as the seal of the prophets (peace be upon them all). There is no barzakh (the interval between death and resurrection) between necessity and possibility, by the consensus of the people of intellect, such that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would be this barzakh or within it. Indeed, the rational rulings are three, by the consensus of the scholars of speculative theology: necessity, impossibility, and possibility, meaning rational permissibility, which is the possibility of existence and non-existence. There is no fourth, and there is no barzakh or intermediary between them. Whoever claims a fourth for them, or a barzakh or intermediary between them, contradicts the requirement of reason, just as he contradicts the requirement of correct transmission.
