The Shaykh : It is established by scholars, and it is established through the Book of Allah and the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). It is not established by the general public, as we sometimes hear from some of our young, enthusiastic brothers. One of them might say, for example: "I met so-and-so the Sufi and established the proof against him," when he may not even know how to perform the ablution like other people, let alone how to pray.
