If a person asks a man to seek a job for him, does this fall under the disliked asking?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : All right, if he asks a man who is able to seek a job for him?

The Shaykh : Seek for him in what?

The questioner : Finding a job; meaning he is able to provide him with a job, so he asked him to help him in this matter. Does this also fall under this matter?

The Shaykh : Of course it falls under it, but in an indirect way. We must note that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) wants the believer to be dignified. Some of the Companions pledged not to ask people for anything, even if they said, "Hand me the whip." So if one of them was riding a donkey, not a horse—because riding a donkey is more difficult and burdensome than a horse or any other beast—he had to dismount it. Because, what Allah willed, it is like a camel, like a mountain; he had to dismount it to be able to get off. So if he was riding a donkey or a camel and his whip fell, he would not ask a passerby, saying, "Please, hand me the whip." Rather, he would dismount the donkey and get down to take the whip... even if he said, "Hand me the whip."
you will not ask the people for anything لا تسألوا الناس شيئًا
Sunan an-Nasa'i 460Sahih (Darussalam)
Even if he said, "Hand me the whip." So one of them—these are the early Salaf whom we always claim affiliation to—when his whip fell, he would not say to any passerby, "Hand me the whip." Rather, he would dismount the donkey and get down to take the whip. And as Ibn Taymiyyah says in some of his writings, this matter is related to tawhid (the oneness of Allah)
It is You we worship and You we ask for help. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
[Al-Fatihah 1:5]
. So you do not seek help from any human being as long as you are able not to seek help from any human being. Because in this case, you have achieved the circle of tawhid related to seeking help from Allah in the broadest possible sense. Whereas if you do not care, and you ask people for everything while you are capable of doing it yourself, you have narrowed the circle of
It is You we worship and You we ask for help. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
[Al-Fatihah 1:5]
.

The questioner : Submitting the request without asking?

The Shaykh : How is that? What does "request" mean?

The questioner : Meaning without addressing the official.

The Shaykh : What does "request" mean?

The questioner : That he asks, requesting the job.

The Shaykh : What does the word "request" mean?

The questioner : Without asking the owner of...

Another questioner : The request is an asking.

The Shaykh : May Allah forgive you! Did he ask him for money, or did he request money from him? Is there a difference?

The questioner : No, there is no difference.

Another questioner : Our Shaykh, meaning his intention is that companies, institutions, and ministries are the ones requesting. They requested in the newspaper that they need workers, employees, and so on. So you must... write a job application. Is this request the company's request?

The Shaykh : I do not think that is his intention, though it might be his intention. Because in that case, what is the difference between writing this and going directly to the person in charge and saying, "I have... readiness to work"? Is there a difference?

The questioner : There is a difference. I want the second case, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : What is the difference?

The questioner : I want the case you just mentioned.

The Shaykh : This is his answer here. Excuse me, there is a difference between the two cases.

The questioner : There is a difference between a request, which is a paper you submit in a general way, and coming to a specific man and saying to him, "I want to work."

Another questioner : There is a difference between asking the employer that he needs workers, and there is a difference between asking and requesting work. I want the second case that the Shaykh just mentioned.

Another questioner : Which is requesting work.

Another questioner : Which is requesting work without need, or without mention from the employer.

The Shaykh : Because if the employer is requesting, what is the difference between this form and requesting directly?

The questioner : Because the request is coming from the company, not from...

Another questioner : He requested from you... he originally invited you...
...

The Shaykh : I am the employer, I... I do not know that I need workers, and you came... or you wrote a request, there is no difference... I am the one who submitted the offer, I need a worker... directly or...

Another questioner : O Shaykh, it is the same situation: the company does not need workers, but if you submit an application, it may open a field for work for you.

The Shaykh : No... the aspect... I am not speaking about it. We are talking about the request, the disliked asking.
