The Shaykh : No, it is not permissible for a Muslim to travel from the lands of Islam to the lands of disbelief except for the sake of observation and taking a lesson, but not for the sake of work , and he (peace be upon him) said: . It is not permissible for a Muslim to be a neighbor to a disbeliever, because the nature of the disbeliever is that of a thief, so what do you think if you or someone else resides in the lands of disbelief and open sinfulness? There, the theft is forced. Therefore, you see that many young people, when they go to those lands, return in a state much worse than they were, even though we notice that some of them return in a better state than they were, but this is rare, and the rare case has no ruling. We must always take rulings from their scriptural evidence. The Messenger (peace be upon him) said: . Whoever associates with a disbeliever, meaning mixes with him and keeps him as a companion, whoever associates with a disbeliever is like him. And he said: . There are many, and very many, hadiths that prohibit this neighborliness and this companionship.
