Was there credit sales in the time of the Messenger?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : My question is that, of course, in credit sales in Islam, there is something they call credit sales.

The Shaykh : Among Muslims today, there is.

The questioner : In the books of Islamic jurisprudence, it is established, and Allah knows best, that credit sales involve something, meaning.

The Shaykh : Did the Messenger, may Allah reward you, buy on credit? But the concept of credit today differs from the previous concept. Perhaps you remember when I said earlier that installment sales, if at the cash price, are better. That is what we call credit sales. We affirm this type. Credit sales were known in the time of the predecessors and the Messenger (peace be upon him). It is established that he prepared for an expedition and needed camels of a type that were, of course, large and able to bear hardships, and so on. So he ordered one of the Companions, and Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, to buy for him one camel for two or three, on the basis that when the camels arrive from the charity funds to the Muslim treasury, the treasury will pay for the one camel bought for two or three. This is on credit.

The questioner : This is salam.

The Shaykh : Hmm.

The questioner : Salam.

The Shaykh : No, it is not salam. This is credit sales, but this is the sale of an animal. Do you see? This existed in the time of the Messenger (peace be upon him) in one of the expeditions. But afterwards, to cut off the means to riba: "He forbade the sale of an animal for an animal on credit," "He forbade the sale of an animal for an animal on credit."

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, but when a person sells to a Muslim something for a cash price on credit, this is a profit in this world and the Hereafter. In this world, it is clear that he profits from the cash, but the profit from the religious side is a profit that does not cross the mind of a trader today, unfortunately, among the Muslim traders. Why? Because it came in the authentic hadiths:
Lending two dirhams is equivalent to giving one dirham in charity. قرض درهمين صدقة درهم
Meaning, the one who lends two dirhams is as if he gave charity with one dirham, having spent one dirham. So the one who lends two hundred dinars is as if he gave charity with one hundred dinars. So the matter of traders is a great profit if they adhere to the Shari'ah etiquettes and rulings. Every time he sells something, he profits in this world and he profits in the Hereafter. Now, there is no profit in the Hereafter left; it is all worldly profit only. And glory to You, Allah, and praise to You.

The questioner : ... the harm of tobacco follows extravagance ... many.

The Shaykh : Yes, that is right.

The questioner : Did I mention it? Is this tobacco they call the hookah and the ma'sal related to?

The Shaykh : Of course, all of this is from the substance of tobacco. They are all more vile than each other ... .
