The Shaykh's answer regarding the reason he did not author a book on the sciences of hadith.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I have found things in my own work that need correction, so I say that if the opportunity were given to me to review this book and correct what I know to be errors, because in the early stages of my engagement with this science, if the opportunity were given to me, I would review it and then publish it. However, I do not find this free time. I have many projects, and among the most important is the one I started while I was in the UAE in Sharjah: *Sahih al-Sirah al-Nabawiyyah* (The Authentic Prophetic Biography). Therefore, the time does not allow me to work as some people urgently request, namely to write a book on the principles of hadith or the terminology of hadith. As we have said, people's satisfaction is a goal that cannot be reached, because every person has his own taste and desires. Personally, my time is currently crowded with many projects, and it has been more than a year since I did anything called authoring, because I am busy printing some books that had not been printed. Sometimes the printed copies run out, so it is necessary to review them and correct what can be corrected, whether from me or from our brothers who send us their observations. I certainly benefit from them greatly and very greatly. Among these is the Shaykh, you must have heard of him: Abdullah, what is his name? Al-Duwaish (may Allah have mercy on him), is that his name?
Al-Duwaish or Al-Duwaish? Abdullah Al-Duwaish.

The questioner : Al-Duwaish in formal Arabic, and Al-Duwaish in the colloquial language of the people of Buraydah.

The Shaykh : Buraydah, yes. So he sent some of his companions and brothers to me,
He sent me critiques on the two chains, and I certainly benefited from his observations. But as I always say, they have not digested much of the science of hadith and its terminology.
