The questioner: I read in the book "The Life of Al-Albani" by "Muhammad al-Shaybani" that you had commented on the book "Al-Ba'ith al-Hadith: A Commentary on the Summary of the Sciences of Hadith" by Ibn Kathir, authored by Ahmad Shakir, but as far as we know, we have not come across it. Where is it? And we suffer greatly, O Shaykh, that you have not written a book on terminology that is easy to grasp for students of knowledge, and this is out of good opinion of you?

The Shaykh: May Allah reward them with good for their good opinion, but I say that regarding "Al-Ba'ith al-Hadith," these were lessons I delivered to some students in Damascus, a very small number of individuals. So I would comment on some topics, and they were not complete comments where one follows the other in a connected manner; such that it is valid to print the book with Al-Albani's comments, just as it was printed with the comments or marginal notes ofThe Shaykh : Muhammad Shakir, the Egyptian judge. Therefore, the copy is with me, and I benefit from some of these comments. Otherwise, I do not see that it is suitable for publication; because it should be reviewed again and the comments completed as they should be, and this is something for which I find no way.
