Discussion of the chain of narration and text. The hadith of 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit: (There is no prayer for one who does not recite the opening of the Book).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So, the hadith of 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, in the narration of Makhul, first has that defect of *'an'anah* (narration from a teacher without naming the intermediate narrator). And if he did not use *'an'anah*, he explicitly mentioned the intermediary, who is unknown. This is regarding its authenticity. As for its meaning, its indication is the weaker position, as we mentioned regarding the wording. Then the second wording in *Musnad Ahmad* confirms:
except that one of you recites the opening of the Book إلا أن يقرأ أحدكم بفاتحة الكتاب
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3:355
This is the weaker position.
