The ruling on the prayer of one who does not know how to recite al-Fatihah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the prayer is not valid without al-Fatihah, how does a person who does not know how to recite al-Fatihah pray?

Answer:
It is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman to learn al-Fatihah so that he or she can recite it in his or her prayer; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
There is no Salat for the one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 247Sahih (Darussalam)
It is agreed upon that it is authentic. And his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite al-Fatihah of the Book, it is deficient, it is deficient, it is not complete
Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:171
And his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) to the Bedouin who performed his prayer incorrectly:
When you stand up to offer the prayer, perform ablution properly, then stand to face the prayer direction and say Allahu Akbar.
Sunan Ibn Majah 1060Sahih (Darussalam)
the hadith. And his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Perhaps you recite behind your imam? We replied: Yes, it is so, Messenger of Allah. He said: Do not do so except when it is Fatihat al-Kitab, for he who does not recite it is not credited with having prayed.
Sunan Abi Dawud 823Da'if (Al-Albani)
.
His intent (peace and blessings be upon him) with this hadith is the prayer with loud recitation. As for the prayer with silent recitation, such as Zuhr and 'Asr, it is prescribed for the follower to recite whatever is easy for him after al-Fatihah in the first and second rak'ahs; because the imam recites silently in this prayer.
If a Muslim is unable to learn al-Fatihah and the time for prayer arrives before he has learned it, he stands in its place: Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, and La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah al-'Ali al-'Azim; because it is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that a man said to him: O Messenger of Allah, I am not able to take anything from the Qur'an, so teach me what suffices me for it. He said to him (peace and blessings be upon him):
Subhan-Allah walhamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallahu, wa Allahu Akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-‘Aliyil-‘Azim قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم
Sunan Ibn Majah 3878Sahih (Darussalam)
, and success is from Allah.
