What is your opinion on the disagreement that has occurred between the students of Shaykh "Rabi' ibn Hadi" and the students of "Safar al-Hawali" and "Salman al-'Udah"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: There are students of Shaykh "Rabi' ibn Hadi al-Madkhali" in the Peninsula, and others for some students of knowledge such as "Safar al-Hawali" and "Salman al-'Udah." Unfortunately, there is division, disagreement, boycott, and turning away between them. Is there any disagreement between them on matters of creed that justifies this? And which of them follows the methodology of the Salaf in creed and practice? Then, what do you advise the Salafis in the Peninsula and outside of it regarding this fitnah?

The Shaykh : ... from the speech, a question and answer can be given about this question; and that is that it is obligatory for all Muslims to verify in themselves the saying of their Lord, the Lord of the Worlds (Mighty and Majestic):
And thus we have made you a just community
[Al-Baqarah 2:143]
no excess and no deficiency. There is no doubt that in this time there exists a group, as we said at the beginning of the session, who have made it their habit to declare the takfir of the rulers of the Muslims without detail. This is undoubtedly an error. Other people opposed them, and the truth is with them, without doubt or hesitation, but they differ in style; some are moderate as we wish, and some are harsh and severe in their speech. He may be excused for this harshness in what he witnessed, but we believe that harshness does not bring good. And sufficient for us in this regard is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) to A'ishah:
O Aisha, gentleness has never been in anything except that it adorned it, and harshness has never been in anything except that it disgraced it.
. We believe that those who declared this fitnah, which is the takfir of the rulers of the Muslims absolutely without detail, went to a position that all the scholars agreed upon, and they all opposed them. There is no doubt that they stirred up a fitnah among the youth, so they divided into two factions. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
and do not be of those who associate others with Allah (32) [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.
[Ar-Rum 30:31-32]
, and we understand from such a verse:
and do not be of those who associate others with Allah
[Ar-Rum 30:31]
; meaning, do not take as causes and means what leads you to this division in which the polytheists before and after fell into. And without doubt, among the division is partisanship, which is clustering and fanaticism for individuals and groups and parties; such that they forgot the only partisanship that has no second in Islam; which is what is referred to in the Qur'an in His saying (Mighty and Majestic): "Indeed,
the party of Allah - they will be the predominant.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:56]
."
There is no doubt that today we cannot say: such and such a group is the party of Allah, or such and such a group is the party of Allah; why? Because we have no revelation. But we say: whoever believes thus is from the party of Allah, whoever believes thus is from the party of Allah. But we can say—and this is exactly what I mean by this word—that the party of Allah are the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, they are the righteous Salaf, to whom he (peace and blessings be upon him) testified with the mutawatir hadith:
The best of people خير الناس
... .
... our brothers who have the truth should be gentle with those who oppose them; because they are sick. And the sickness, in my view, is not the physical, material sickness, but there is a sickness more dangerous than it, which is the spiritual sickness; and if you wish, I say: the soul sickness. So these people who are sick with a spiritual sickness need the doctor to be gentler with them than the physical doctor is with diseases or with patients who have a physical sickness. So we advise our brothers, the people of truth in the call to the truth, the followers of the righteous Salaf, to be lenient with those who oppose them; because they are sick. And we advise these sick people to return to the doctors by seeking their advice, and they will advise them,
And religion is sincere advice
as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said.
