Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: From Abu Hurayrah, who said: Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When one of you prays, let him place something in front of him; if he does not find anything, let him plant a stick; if he does not have a stick, let him draw a line, and let not what passes in front of him harm him
?

The Shaykh : Weak.

The questioner: But where is its weakness?

The Shaykh: Where is its weakness?

The questioner: I mean, in which book?

The Shaykh: In which book? From the books of hadith—for example—“Mukhtasar al-Sunan” by al-Khatib al-Baghdadi, excuse me, by al-Mundhiri, and “Ma'alim al-Sunan” by al-Khatib al-Baghdadi, and “Awn al-Ma'bud Sharh Sunan Abi Dawud.” From these books that contain it, because the hadith is found in “Sunan Abi Dawud.”

The questioner: In a hadith from al-Mutabbib ibn Abi Wada'ah, who said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh : Weak.
