Exegesis of verses from the end of Surat al-Jumu'ah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. I ask Allah the Exalted to make us and you among those who follow Him with excellence; indeed, He is capable of all things.
As for what follows: This is the night of Sunday, the fifteenth of the month of Rajab in the year 1420. With this, the sixty-ninth of the monthly gatherings held in this great congregational mosque in Unaizah is completed, on the evening of the third Saturday. Or rather, on the night of the third Sunday of every month, unless there is an impediment.
This gathering—and praise be to Allah—brings about much good: a gathering for the remembrance of Allah
and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of Allah (mosques) and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves) there would descend upon them tranquility and mercy would cover them and the angels would surround them and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him
Sahih Muslim 2699a
. And Allah the Exalted has angels who travel through the earth seeking the circles of remembrance. And it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that
Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2646Sahih (Darussalam)
.
So these gatherings with the people of knowledge contain much good. We urge our brothers to be eager for them, to attend them, and to benefit from them. And we ask Allah to gather us in this world upon His obedience and in the Hereafter in His abode of honor.
O my brothers: The topic of this gathering is speaking about the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah
[Al-Jumu'ah 62:9]
- Complete this, O 'Abd al-Rahman -.
The student:
and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. (10) And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed. (11) But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers."
[Al-Jumu'ah 62:9-11]
.

The Shaykh : Well done, may Allah reward you.
