Is it prescribed for a woman to attend the Friday prayer? And is there a place in this mosque for women to pray the Friday prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May the Shaykh! Is it permissible for a woman to attend the Friday prayer? Is this prescribed? And is there a place in this mosque for women to pray the Friday prayer?

The Shaykh : Yes. As for a woman attending the Friday prayer and the congregational prayers, it is not prescribed, but it is permissible. The evidence for this is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Do not prevent the female servant your women from visiting the mosques of Allah. لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله، وبيوتهن خيرٌ لهن
Sunan Abi Dawud 566
. So it is better for a woman to pray in her home, not the Friday prayer nor the congregational prayers. But if she attends, we do not forbid her. If she comes to the mosque without displaying her adornment and without applying perfume that has a scent, meaning a scent that those around her can smell.
As for this mosque, it has—praise be to Allah—a special prayer area for women, where they enter through a special door far from mixing with men. Yes.
