Explanation of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came upon a group of his Companions laughing and talking, and he said:

The Shaykh : In the second hadith, or the following one, there is another hadith of Abu Hurayrah, which the author narrates with his authentic chain from him. He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came upon a group of his Companions laughing and talking, and he said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 254, then he turned away and made the people weep.
This means that when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) admonished them after seeing them laughing and talking among themselves, he said to them:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2313Hasan (Darussalam) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to admonish them and warn them against this laughter that kills the heart. "Be gentle with your Companions" means be lenient with them, be kind to them, and do not be harsh with them in your admonition and reminder of them; therefore, the Messenger (peace be upon him) said to them at the end: This is, in fact, the summary of his first and last admonition. As the scholars say, a Muslim must live between the two stations of fear and hope. He is not so afraid of his Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) that he forgets His mercy, nor is he so hopeful of His mercy that he forgets His punishment and retribution. Rather, he maintains a balance between the two, living as one who hopes and fears. This is what this hadith revolves around, in its beginning and its end. That is, a person should not be heedless of the punishment, wrath, might, and power of Allah on one hand, nor should he forget His favor (Blessed and Exalted is He) and His mercy toward His servants, as came in some hadiths, perhaps in this book, when the Messenger (peace be upon him) saw a woman from among the captives running between the camps searching for her child until she found him and embraced him, and he said (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 5999. Therefore, a Muslim should live between fear and hope. His life between fear and hope necessitates that he be far from trivial matters; he does not laugh except rarely, but he also does not despair of the mercy of Allah; for as He (the Exalted) said: [Yusuf 12:87] This is the intended meaning of this hadith, as it appears to me. And this is sufficient for now. In the next lesson, if Allah wills, we will discuss one of the etiquettes of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in his journey and departure, which is "The chapter on when he came, he came all together, and when he went, he went all together." Our appointment is in the next lesson, if Allah wills.
By the One in whose hand my soul is, if you knew what I knew, you would laugh little and weep much.
وَالَّذِي نَفسِي بِيَدِه ؛ لَو تَعلَمُون مَا أَعلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُم قَلِيلًا ولَبَكَيْتُم كَثيرًاThis means that when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) admonished them after seeing them laughing and talking among themselves, he said to them:
If you knew what I know, then you would laugh little and you would cry much.

أبشِرُوا وسَدِّدوا وقَارِبُواAllah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son.
لله أرحَمُ بعباده من هذه بطفلها أو بولدهاno one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."
