Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "And his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other
Sahih al-Bukhari 2826
"

The Shaykh : Like this, we say in the *Al-Wasitiyyah* Creed, in the context of the hadiths indicating the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), did you understand? Is it not better this way? So that it is clear. Yes, we do not know if this is from the fatwas or from any other place. Yes, that is fine.
The Reciter: Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the *Al-Wasitiyyah* Creed, in the context of the verses indicating

The Shaykh : the hadiths
The Reciter: Yes, in the context of the hadiths indicating the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) "And his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Allah laughs at two men. One of them kills the other, but each of them will enter the Garden
Muwatta Malik 21:30
agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim "
First, Imam al-Bukhari narrated this hadith in his *Sahih*, Volume 1, page 142, in the chapter on the *Hijrah* and the *Sirah*, where he said:

The Shaykh : There is a rule among the compilers: they abbreviate by writing the volume number, then a dash, then the page number.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The Student: This is a known thing.

The Shaykh : Yes, for example, we say "al-Bukhari said in his *Sahih* 1," then you mention the page that follows.
The Student: Yes, that is correct.

The Shaykh : Here, 1 instead of Volume 1.
The Student: I just pronounced it.

The Shaykh : Ah, by pronunciation, that is fine, done, fine... Yes.
The Reciter: He said, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other and both of them enter Paradise. One fights in Allah's Cause and gets killed. Later on Allah forgives the 'killer who also get martyred (In Allah's Cause).
Sahih al-Bukhari 2826
And Imam Muslim narrated it in his *Sahih*, Volume 3, page 1504, in "The Book of Authority", saying, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
God laughs at the two men both of whom will enter Paradise (though) one of them kills the other. They said: Messenger of Allah, how is it? He said: One of them fights in the way of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted. and dies a martyr. Then God turns in mercy to the murderer who embraces Islam, fights in the way of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, and dies a martyr.
Sahih Muslim 1890a
And he also narrated it with another wording, at the end of the hadith:
They (the Companions) said: How, Messenger of Allah? He said: One is slain (in the way of Allah) and enters Paradise. Then God forgives the other and guides him to Islam; then he fights
Sahih Muslim 1890c

The Shaykh : He guides him, he guides him.
The reciter:
and guides him to Islam; then he fights in the way of Allah and dies a martyr.
Sahih Muslim 1890c

And al-Nasa'i narrated it with a sound chain from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, likes it when there are two men, one of whom killed the other, then they both enter Paradise." And another time he said: "He laughs at two men, one of whom killed the other, then they both entered Paradise." إن الله عز وجل يعجب من رجلين يقتل أحدهما صاحبه وقال مرة أخرى فيضحك من رجلين يقتل أحدهما صاحبه ثم يدخلان الجنة
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3165Sahih (Darussalam)
And he also narrated it from another route with a wording like al-Bukhari's. And Ibn Majah narrated it in his *Sunan*, Volume 1, page 68, in the introduction, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, Allah laughs at two men, one of whom kills the other, and both entered Paradise. This one fights in the cause of Allah and becomes a martyr, then Allah accepts the repentance of his killer, and he embraces Islam, then he fights in the cause of Allah and becomes a martyr.
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 10:35

And Imam Malik ibn Anas narrated it in the *Muwatta*, in the Book of Jihad, Volume 2, page 460, in the same hadith from another route with a wording like Muslim's. And al-Bayhaqi narrated it in *Al-Asma' wa al-Sifat* with a wording like Muslim's, and Ibn Khuzaymah narrated it in *Al-Tawhid*, page 152, from the hadith of al-A'mash from Abu Hurayrah, traced to the Prophet.
And there are other routes for the hadith narrated by Muslim, al-Bayhaqi, and al-Nasa'i. Shaykh al-Albani has included this hadith in *Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah*, Volume 3, page 63, Hadith number 1474, with Muslim's wording.

The Shaykh : Okay, do we understand the picture now?
The Student: He said: in the introduction. What does "in the introduction" mean?

The Shaykh : Yes.
The Student: He said in the introduction. What does "in the introduction" mean?

The Shaykh : In the introduction of the book, the introduction of the book.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : No, no, the introduction of the book. For example, Muslim, in the introduction, before he mentions the chapters, has the picture he mentioned. Is it necessary that it be in the manner of the picture he mentioned, where the disbeliever kills the Muslim, then embraces Islam, then is killed? Or is it not a condition?
The Student: It is not a condition.

The Shaykh : The second one is not a condition. The second one is not a condition, but he mentioned it so that the rank of the two men would be the same, so that the rank of the two men would be the same. Or is it possible that if this man was killed, then embraced Islam, that Allah granted him Islam, then he died and entered Paradise, but he would not be in his rank? Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The Student: He mentioned... also, "laughs" with a question mark?

The Shaykh : No, it is not a question. No, he says "laughs."
The Student: Laughs at him.

The Shaykh : He looked at it.
The Student: He said, and al-Nasa'i narrated with a sound chain from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, likes it when there are two men, one of whom killed the other
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3165Sahih (Darussalam)

The Shaykh : No, it is not this one.
The Student: It does not have "laughs," Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The Student: It does not have "laughs."

The Shaykh : No, it does, but is it "laughs"?
The Student: ... or "laughs."

The Shaykh : Yes, it is possible with doubt, there is no harm, but is it "laughs"? Anyway, the rest, if Allah wills, one person every night so that we do not take...
