The Difference Between the One in a State of Major Ritual Impurity and the Menstruating Woman Regarding the Recitation of the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So we must distinguish between the one in a state of major ritual impurity and the menstruating woman. It is said that it is permissible for the one in a state of major ritual impurity to recite the Qur'an and touch the Qur'an while in that state, but it is better to recite while in a state of ritual purity. As for the menstruating woman, it is not said to her that it is better to do so, because that is not based on evidence. Rather, it is said to her: It is permissible for you to recite the Qur'an and touch it, because the Wise Lawgiver did not forbid that for the menstruating woman. With this, we conclude our gathering, and we hope to meet again on a day like this, after the 'Asr prayer, on the following day, if Allah wills. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
