Is it a religious innovation for some preachers to adhere to reciting the verse regarding the prayer upon the Prophet in the second khutbah, as well as the prayer upon him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Before that, we add what has become new in the Friday khutbah. In the second khutbah, it has spread among preachers, or some of them, to say: "Pray upon the Prophet where Allah has commanded you to pray upon him," and they recite the verse.

The Shaykh : Yes, and this is also from that category, namely: from the additional religious innovations. It is not permissible to adhere to it, but it is permissible to do it occasionally, especially since this verse encourages people to resound with the prayer upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And it is amazing that you see the congregations of worshippers, when Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) is mentioned, they do not follow that with magnifying and honoring Him, but when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned, the mosque resounds with the prayer upon him. And on Friday, where it is not permissible to enjoin good and forbid evil, there is no doubt that reciting that verse, adhering to it permanently, and making it a condition of the second khutbah, this is from the newly invented matters. Yes.
