The Shaykh explaining the importance of offering the greeting of peace.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from the evil of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can misguide, and whoever He leaves to stray, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Ali 'Imran 3:102]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[An-Nisa 4:1]
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
.
As for what follows: The best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the worst of matters are their innovations. Every innovation is a religious innovation, every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. And after that:
It has been placed in my heart to address you with a word that I hope will be brief and concise regarding the greeting of peace, which is one of the distinctive practices of Islam. This name, "peace", as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in a hadith narrated by Imam al-Bukhari in his book *Al-Adab al-Mufrad* with his authentic chain from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
Peace is one of the Names of Allah which Allah has placed on the earth. Extend it among you.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1039
Peace is one of the Names of Allah which Allah has placed on the earth. Extend it among you.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1039
And it came in another hadith narrated by Imam Muslim in his *Sahih* from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah as well, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something that will help you to achieve that? Spread (the greeting of) salaam amongst yourselves.
Musnad Ahmad 1430, 1431, 1432Da'if (Darussalam)
His saying (peace and blessings be upon him) at the end of this hadith:
Spread the greeting of peace among yourselves.
means the frequent offering of the Muslim greeting of peace to his Muslim brother, and not only when he meets him, for it is among the obligations that are the right of a Muslim over another Muslim, as came in another hadith, which is also in *Sahih Muslim*:
The Muslim has five rights over the Muslim: if you meet him, greet him with the salutation
