What is the ruling on partisanship in Islam?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : The answer is: "The defect in news lies only in its narrators." Yes, first we say it explicitly: we combat partisanship; because these parties fall under the saying of Allah - Blessed and Exalted is He - :
each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
[Al-Mu'minun 23:53]
, and because the act of partisanship has divided the unity of the Muslims and weakened their strength, despite their existing weakness, so they increased in weakness upon weakness. There is no partisanship in Islam; there is only one party by the explicit text of the Qur'an: "Indeed, the party of Allah - they are the successful"
indeed, the party of Allah - they will be the predominant. إِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:56]
. Who are the party of Allah? They are the group of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So to the extent that the Muslim in this time approaches the methodology of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), to that extent he is in safety, and the opposite is the opposite. And let the Muslim be upon the methodology of the Companions, as came in the hadith of the saved group; that requires knowledge, and knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah. This is a standard that is possible for every rational Muslim who is free from blind partisanship and desires. It is possible for him to know that there is no way to know following the methodology of the Companions except through knowledge. So whoever among the Islamic groups, or the Islamic parties, or so on, is closest in knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah; he is the most upright in speech and the most guided in path, and the opposite is the opposite. Therefore, we must hold to the correct knowledge; for it is that which will facilitate for us the path to be among the saved group, and without that there is no way to that ever.
Yes.
