The questioner : What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding a Muslim worker employed in a factory producing intoxicants in Western countries? Should he continue in his work or end it?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible to work in a factory that produces intoxicants, because this is among those who press the grapes for wine and those who facilitate its spread and its consumption.
