The questioner : His second question asks: Is it permissible for a Muslim to work in a factory for intoxicants, knowing that he does not consume them, and what is the ruling on his earnings from that work?
The Shaykh : It is not permissible for a Muslim to work in a factory for intoxicants, for this is aiding in sin and transgression, and Allah the Exalted has forbidden it, saying:[Al-Ma'idah 5:2] And his earnings from this work are forbidden and corrupt earnings, so it is obligatory for the Muslim to fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in himself and in what he eats and drinks, because the matter is great.
