Follow-up: Does the fasting person respond to the mu'adhdhin, or does he continue breaking his fast?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If a blessing is presented to a person, there is nothing wrong with saying "Alhamdulillah" while he is praying. If a whisper from Shaytan strikes you and the door of doubts is opened to you, seek refuge in Allah from it, and you are praying. Yes, and you are praying. If we derive a rule from this, it is that any dhikr whose cause is found in the prayer is said, and what is not said is not said, because these incidents can be used to derive a rule upon examination. However, regarding responding to the mu'adhdhin, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah holds that it is done, but I have some reservations about it in my own view. Why? Because responding to the mu'adhdhin is lengthy and causes a person to be greatly distracted in his prayer, and the prayer has specific dhikr from which one should not be distracted. Returning to the answer to the question: there is no harm in missing the response, as it may contain a benefit other than what is in the question.

The questioner : If he is in the bathroom.

The Shaykh : I say that if you are breaking your fast and you hear the adhan, you should respond to the mu'adhdhin, even if you are breaking your fast. In fact, we may say that it is more emphasized for you, because you are currently enjoying a blessing from Allah, and the reward for this blessing is gratitude, and part of gratitude is responding to the mu'adhdhin. So respond to the mu'adhdhin, even if you are eating, and there is no blame on you for this. And when you are finished responding to the mu'adhdhin, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and say:
O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the intercession and the excellence, and raise him to the praised station which You have promised him. Indeed, You do not break Your promise. اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة آت محمد الوسيلة والفضيلة وابعثه مقاما محمودا الذي وعدته إنك لا تخلف الميعاد
