Is it obligatory to follow every mu'adhdhin during the adhan, or is it sufficient to follow only the first mu'adhdhin?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. The mu'adhdhins follow one another. Is it obligatory to respond to everyone you hear, even though the adhan lasts for about a quarter of an hour, or is it sufficient to respond to the first one?

The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.
The question: Is this obligatory? This is not established, because responding to the mu'adhdhin is not obligatory, neither for the first mu'adhdhin nor the last. But say: Is it prescribed or recommended?
We say: The jurists (may Allah have mercy on them) say that one should respond to the mu'adhdhin whenever he hears him. They cited as evidence the generality of the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
If you hear the Muadh-dhin then say as he says إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثلما يقول المؤذن
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3614Sahih (Darussalam)
This is general, except that they made an exception for when one has prayed, in which case he does not respond to the mu'adhdhin.
That is to say, if we suppose that one of the mu'adhdhins was delayed and did not call the adhan until after you had prayed, they said: In this case, he does not respond to the mu'adhdhin. They explained this by saying that he is not being invited by this adhan, because this mu'adhdhin says: "Hasten to the prayer" and you have already prayed, so you do not respond in this situation.
But if you did respond to him, you are on the right path, taking the generality into account.
If you hear the Muadh-dhin then say as he says إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثلما يقول المؤذن
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3614Sahih (Darussalam)
Yes. There is one who wants to follow up; you give the brother the follow-up response.
