Clarification that what Ibn Hajar held, namely that there is no inversion in the hadith of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Indeed, Bilal calls the adhan at night"

The Shaykh : However, I say on this occasion that al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar and others hold that there is no inversion, and that both hadiths are valid; that is, there were two periods. In one period, Bilal would call the first adhan and Ibn Umm Maktum would call the second adhan, and in that period he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1094b to the end of the hadith. In another period, the situation was reversed; Ibn Umm Maktum would call the first adhan and Bilal would call the second adhan. Thus, both hadiths are correct, and there is no need to claim inversion in one of them as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) did. They supported this with many narrations and deductions of great precision, among which—for example—is that in the same authentic hadith: Sahih al-Bukhari 622, 623 it is stated—in "Sahih al-Bukhari" and others—"and he was a man with weak eyesight, blind, and he would not call the adhan until it was said to him: 'You have become a morning person, you have become a morning person.'" How could this adhan be more precise than the first adhan? It appears that wisdom necessitated an exchange between the mu'adhdhins; Bilal, the one with sight, would call the second adhan, and the one with weak eyesight would call the first adhan.
In any case, the claim of inversion in this second hadith regarding the two adhans is not accepted from Ibn al-Qayyim, just as his claim of inversion in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah is not accepted. The correct view is as it came in the hadith:Sunan Abi Dawud 840Sahih (Al-Albani).
The Adhan of Bilal should not mislead you
لا يغرَّنَّكم أذان بلالso eat and drink (Suhur) till Ibn Um Maktum pronounces the Adhan.
فكلوا واشربوا حتى يؤذِّن ابن أم مكتومIn any case, the claim of inversion in this second hadith regarding the two adhans is not accepted from Ibn al-Qayyim, just as his claim of inversion in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah is not accepted. The correct view is as it came in the hadith:
