If a person feels showing off or self-admiration when conveying knowledge, which is more preferable for him: conveying the knowledge or preserving his self from showing off?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If a Muslim learns knowledge and wants to convey it, but feels showing off, arrogance, or self-admiration when conveying it, which is more preferable: conveying the knowledge or preserving his self from showing off?

The Shaykh : The most preferable is to combine both: conveying the knowledge and preserving one's self from showing off. This is obligatory. It is not permissible to say, "Do not convey the knowledge because you are showing off," nor is it permissible to say, "Convey the knowledge while showing off." Rather, convey it, avoid showing off, and fear Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He).
