A man loved a girl and had intercourse with her before contracting a valid marriage; what is the ruling on this marriage?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, in the question of a man who loved a girl and had intercourse with her before contracting a valid marriage—meaning he committed zina with her—and after he learned of her pregnancy, he married her. What is the ruling on this marriage and what is the ruling on the child?

The Shaykh : The child is a child of zina. As for the marriage, if he married her while they were in a state of zina, it is invalid. However, if they repented and turned back to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and the conditions of the guardian's permission and the witnesses were met, then the marriage is valid.

The questioner : Before she gives birth, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Before she gives birth or after she gives birth, the important thing is that he does not have intercourse with her. If it is before she gives birth, he cannot have intercourse with her until his lawful semen does not mix with his unlawful semen.

The questioner : And this child remains lawful, Shaykh, because his father is known?

The Shaykh : This does not apply to the child and the bed... He is a child of zina, and that is it. He has no lawful father. It is not permissible to write his name in his family register.
