The Meaning of the Statement of the Exalted: “So ask the people of knowledge if you do not know,” and the reality of the scholar to whom one refers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The text of the Noble Qur'an divided people, in terms of knowledge and ignorance, into two categories: the scholars, who are those who understand the Book and the Sunnah, and the non-scholars, whom we call the ignorant, who do not understand the Book and the Sunnah. Two categories; so each of the two categories has its obligatory duty by the text of the Noble Qur'an. He, the Exalted, said:
So ask the people of the message if you
[An-Nahl 16:43]
... more than once - also - quoting from ...
if you do not know.
[An-Nahl 16:43]
, who are the people of knowledge? The people of dancing in the so-called dhikr? Of course not. The people of knowledge are, as He, the Exalted, said:
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.
[Al-Hijr 15:9]
, the people of knowledge are the people of the Qur'an; that is: ask the people of knowledge of the Qur'an. And a scholar is not a scholar of the Qur'an unless he is a scholar of the Sunnah; because among what is in the Qur'an is:
And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them
[An-Nahl 16:44]
, so the scholar is the scholar of the Qur'an which explains and the Sunnah which clarifies, the scholar of the Qur'an which explains and the hadith which clarifies, which is the speech of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him),
And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them
[An-Nahl 16:44]
.
So we, then, the scholar is the one who says, regarding what he holds in all matters of religion, in everything he says: this is Islam, he says: Allah said, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and whoever else is not a scholar.
