The Shaykh : ... And we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from the badness of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, there is no one who can misguide him, and whom He leaves to misguide, there is no one who can guide him. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, [Ali 'Imran 3:102], [An-Nisa 4:1], [Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]. As for what follows:
Indeed, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
Before beginning the lesson on "Encouragement and Warning," I remind our brothers present—and let the one present convey this to the absent one—that the next lesson will be immediately after the Maghrib prayer, because time will become tight due to the delay of the clock according to the prevailing custom. That is one thing. Another thing: you must sit closer together and some of you must join others so that the space in the back is freed up, especially since you are now in a season that is like winter. What will your condition be in the summer season with the intensity of the heat? Therefore, accustom yourselves first to order, and secondly to bearing something of what I do not call hardships and difficulties, but rather something the souls are not accustomed to.
After this, I hope that we will remember to reiterate the reminder about the lesson time at the end of the lesson. If I forget, remind me, because people may come who did not attend this reminder now.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
