Explanation of the invalidity of the statement: "The methodology of the Salaf is safer, and the methodology of the Khalaf is more knowledgeable and more precise."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And in truth, one of the most dangerous things in these interpretations is the claim of knowledge by these people who interpret figuratively, and the attribution of ignorance to the righteous Salaf, but in a soft, non-explicit expression. They say, and this is established in what they call books of theology, that every student of knowledge who studies according to the method of the Khalaf will inevitably end up, in the final analysis, believing that the methodology of the Salaf in these issues is safer, but the methodology of the Khalaf is better and more knowledgeable. This is disbelief itself; because the methodology of the Salaf... what is the methodology of the Salaf? It is Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, who does not speak from desire. They describe the Messenger (peace be upon him) and those who followed his methodology as having a methodology that is safer, but the methodology of those who came after them is better and more knowledgeable!!
So... as you heard, the methodology of the Salaf is safer, better, and more knowledgeable. So every interpretation they bring forth is an argument against them, and they have no argument in it whatsoever. I think this verse here...

The Shaykh : It has now become clear what the true divine speech is, and what the psychological speech is. As for the truth, we must describe Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with every attribute by which He described Himself. He described Himself in the Qur'an and in many hadiths that the speech of Allah is truly audible speech, and that it is also comprehensible speech. And in some hadiths, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) was described with both types of speech: the true speech, which is heard by those who remember Allah among the people, and it also affirms the psychological speech.
