The Shaykh : ... [An-Nisa 4:1], [Al-Ahzab 33:70-71], As for what follows:
Indeed, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. And after that:
I have decided to follow up on the previous research concerning the methodology of the Salafi call with a study on this occasion, as I have come across an article in "Al-Majalla," which is published in Kuwait and is an Islamic magazine. This is so that you may know the gravity, indeed the greatness, of our adherence to the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and to the methodology of our righteous predecessors. If Muslims neglect this methodology, they will stray from the straight path. We have cited an example from Islamic beliefs related to the Noble Qur'an, which is the first foundation, the first source, and the first reference for Islamic sacred law, based on the fact that it is the speech of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and not the speech of humans or of any other being. We cited this example to illustrate the extent of deviation in understanding the Book and the Sunnah from the methodology of the righteous predecessors.
Regarding the Noble Qur'an, considering that it is from the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), how did it come to pass that some Islamic sects stripped this Noble Qur'an of being the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)? Some of them explicitly stated that it is not the speech of Allah, but rather a created thing. Others agreed with this claim implicitly, though they did not state it explicitly. They denied that Allah has audible speech and described it as internal speech. Describing speech in this manner is denial of the divine attributes, for among the attributes of speech is that it is heard by those to whom Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) addresses it, whether they are righteous or wicked.
Naturally, I do not wish to repeat what has already been said, but on the occasion of my reading this magazine, I wanted to present to you an example from our Islamic life today. The author of this article is addressing a movement in Kuwait, an Islamic movement that is demanding, and this movement is not unique to other Islamic countries. All Islamic countries are demanding that their rulers return their laws to conformity with Islamic sacred law. Among these laws are the laws of personal status. It appears that many magazines and newspapers are addressing such laws and demanding that the state there return this law to what conforms to Islam; that is, the Book and the Sunnah.
Among the wonders and curiosities is that some enthusiasts for Islam stand between the state and the realization of this Islamic demand, which is to return the law of personal status to the Book and the Sunnah. He relies on a basis that is correct in itself, but it is not evidence that supports his demand. As it was said long ago, this is a word of truth intended to convey falsehood. What is this truth that he relies upon?
who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
