What is the best Salafi magazine you have seen in the da'wah scene?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : All right, Shaykh, I have looked at the existing magazines, which are roughly Salafi or claim to be Salafi. What is your opinion regarding the best magazine in this field?

The Shaykh : By Allah, I have seen, up to now, from the perspective of 'aqidah, the Egyptian magazine al-Tawhid, which belongs to the Ansar group. It is good in terms of 'aqidah and tawhid (the oneness of Allah). However, in terms of legal rulings, fiqh, and Prophetic hadiths, I read in it astonishing things. Yes, in the magazine al-Istiqamah, which I think belongs to Sudan, there is nothing wrong with it, and it has good articles, but it is new to publication, so it is not yet time for us to discover its true nature. Yes, and it is exactly similar to it, and although I am very pleased with it, is the magazine al-Furqan. Al-Furqan is published by the Salafi brothers there in Kuwait, and its chief editor is, I think, 'Abd al-Rahman 'Abd al-Khalq. These people focus on political aspects and explaining the situation of Arab states and their rulers. It satisfies the hearts of a group of believers. Yes; but despite that, I fear that its matter will not last, and that it will be treated as was done previously with the magazine al-Ummah. Although al-Ummah was moderate to some extent, it was frank in attacking the ruling regimes in all countries. Therefore, it did not last but a few years, then it was imprisoned, and then its people turned to publishing booklets that have no benefit and no scientific value, except for addressing social and economic conditions with pens that are not knowledgeable about Islam. Therefore, I say that if there are scholars and writers who are good at choosing topics that benefit Muslims in general, and the Afghans there in particular, and who are good at writing and expression, then this is a necessary matter. This is a collective obligation (fard kifayah), which, if no one performs it, they are all sinful, and if some perform it, it is lifted from the rest. As they say, the people of Makkah know its valleys best. So if there is someone around our brother in the unseen, Jamil al-Rahman, whom we trust in their knowledge, their pens, and their sincerity, let him step forward, and let the believer not be bitten twice from the same hole.

The questioner: Correct.

The Shaykh : Because that man has fallen into disagreement with him. Why? Because it appears there is no unity of thought. So he must select from those around him people whom he has become convinced are united in madhhab (school of jurisprudence) and in approach, and who are capable of writing and explaining to people the knowledge in their hearts that must be revealed...
