Warning About Some of the Misfortunes of the Khalaf, One of Which Is That They Reversed the Understanding of Many Texts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Among the misfortunes of the Khalaf is that they reversed the understanding of many texts. Among these is the statement of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
(118) And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them. But the word of your Lord is to be fulfilled that, "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and men all together."
[Hud 11:118-119]
. This verse is explicit in excluding those who differ from mercy and excluding those who agree from difference; because the nature of difference is moving away from mercy, and the nature of agreement is moving closer to mercy. So this verse is explicit:
but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy
[Hud 11:118-119]
; meaning: those whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has shown mercy to do not differ. So what is the matter with us, the Khalaf, that we differ to the greatest extent of difference? And it is not only this, but we have turned the verse upside down. The verse says:
Except whom your Lord has given mercy
[Hud 11:119]
they do not differ, and we, the Khalaf, say and fabricate against the Messenger that he said:
The disagreement of my Ummah is a mercy
!! Allah says:
but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy
[Hud 11:118-119]
, so the ones shown mercy do not differ, and they narrate from the Messenger, (peace be upon him), that he said:
The disagreement of my Ummah is a mercy
.
This hadith is not spoken by the ignorant of the Muslims or by the students of knowledge among them, but it is spoken by those who are called doctors, and it is written and published by many Islamic writers. The goal behind this is to blur and waste this difference in which the Muslims have fallen, and to make the Muslims understand that the Muslims are in a great state of well-being; because their number reaches eight hundred million Muslims. So they reverse this reality with such a hadith that has no basis, contradicting the preceding text of the Noble Qur'an:
but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy
[Hud 11:118-119]
, and ignoring many, and very many, hadiths that indicate that the state of the Muslims today is not at all in well-being. How can it be so when some of their sacred lands have been occupied by a small group of the most abased people on earth?! How can the Muslims be in well-being when you have heard the previous hadith:
When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
. This is the humiliation imposed upon us,
That He will not remove from you until you return to your religion.
. So returning to the religion necessitates advising the Muslims, and necessitates explaining the painful reality of the Muslims; whether from the aspect of belief, or from the aspect of character, or from the aspect of worship, or from all the aspects that Islam brought, that we explain them to the Muslims, and that their state is not a happy one, even if some people are ignorant of it. So the reality must be pointed out to them, but with the guidance of the guides and the direction of the directors among them...
...and reminding them that numbers have no value, contrary to what some Islamic writers boast about, that the number of Muslims is large and very large. Until one of their famous writers, from those who did not follow the methodology of the righteous Salaf, said a word that is in reality a good warning, but it is not the cure. He said: "If the Muslims, by the largeness of their number, had spit at the colonizers, they would have destroyed them." By the largeness of the number of Muslims, if they had fought them by spitting in their faces, they would have destroyed them. But Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has placed a verse in the Qur'an that He made a methodology for the reform of the Muslims, and that is by reforming what is in their hearts:
Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]
. That hadith which indicates that numbers do not benefit much is the statement of the Messenger, (may Allah's prayers and blessings be upon him):
The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish
Sunan Abi Dawud 4297Sahih (Al-Albani)
. They said: "Are we few at that time, O Messenger of Allah?" He said:
No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts.
Sunan Abi Dawud 4297Sahih (Al-Albani)
. They said: "And what is the weakness, O Messenger of Allah?" He said:
Love of the world and dislike of death
Sunan Abi Dawud 4297Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
Therefore we say: The cure for the Muslims today is in two matters, as a summary of what has preceded, and in addition to what came before. The two words are: it is necessary to have purification, and this is what I have previously spoken about with some explanation and clarification, based on the Book and the Sunnah and the methodology of the righteous Salaf. This purification is necessary, and then it is necessary that this purification be accompanied by the upbringing of the Muslims themselves, their children, and their relatives on the Book and the Sunnah on the methodology of the righteous Salaf. And the day a group of Muslims agree on these two words, "purification and upbringing," on that day the believers will rejoice in the victory of Allah.
And we ask Allah, Mighty and Majestic, to inspire us to return to the Book and the Sunnah and the authentic Sunnah, on the methodology of the righteous Salaf.
And now, having felt in my previous speech that many of our brothers have numerous questions, it is necessary to make room for whoever has a question to ask, and Professor al-Banna, if Allah wills, will direct the questions so that we avoid disorder and chaos.
