An interjection in response to those who say that the Salafi call focuses on minor details.

The questioner : And from this, too, there is another point. Some people say about the Salafi call that it concerns itself with minor details. This, too, is an error, or an accusation they make against the Salafi call. You have just seen how the professor (may Allah preserve him) clarified for us that the call to the Book and the Sunnah means the call to tawhid (the oneness of Allah); and this is the foundation that the heavenly messages came with: the oneness of Allah in His lordship, in His divinity, and in His attributes. Likewise, the claim of the Salafis encompasses all aspects of Islamic legislation; because take Islam as a whole or leave it. So when we come and say: this is a Sunnah and this is a bid'ah (religious innovation), when some people say that they do not care except that this is a Sunnah and this is a bid'ah; this is, of course, injustice on their part toward us in one respect.
And in another respect, when we say: this is a bid'ah and this is a Sunnah; because we mean that we want to submit to one foundation, to one Shari'ah, and that we receive our law from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) and from His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), who does not speak from desire
It is not but a revelation revealed, إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى
[An-Najm 53:4]
; so we do not want to add to this religion what is not part of it. When we say: this matter is a bid'ah; we do not want to be legislators alongside Allah (Mighty and Majestic). These people do not pay attention to this foundation. And of course, when we deny this minor detail because it contradicts a great principle among the principles, and these people who deny us for saying to people and alerting them that this is a bid'ah, and that you must adhere to the Sunnah; they say that legislation is for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and that sovereignty is for Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). They agree with this principle, but when it comes to application, we see that they do not adhere to this methodology completely and precisely in all affairs of life. They say this phrase that sovereignty is for Allah and legislation is for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but they do not realize that the one who is fanatical about his madhhab (school of jurisprudence), and it becomes clear to him a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and then he does not follow the hadith of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), has taken the rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah, whether he wills it or not. When it becomes clear to him that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) says this hadith and it contradicts the statement of the imam; he must follow the statement of the imam, follow the hadith of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and reject the statement of the imam; even though that does not detract from the imam, his virtue, or his knowledge, and he has the reward; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
If the ruler exercises independent legal reasoning and is correct, he has two rewards, and if he errs, he has one reward. إذا اجتهد الحاكم فأصاب فله أجران ، وإن أخطأ فله أجر واحد
.
This is a point I wanted to point out, too, and the speech the professor gave is sufficient.
