Tafsir of Surat al-Imran

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is the meaning of the statement of Allah the Exalted:
And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it.وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ
[Al-Imran: 7]? And are these the firmly grounded in knowledge in the time of the revelation of the Qur'an, or do they exist until the Hour, or is the knowledge of ta'wil (interpretation) restricted to Allah the Exalted alone,
the descent of the Qur'an, or are they present until the Day of Resurrection, or is the knowledge of ta'wil (interpretation) restricted to Allah the Exalted alone,And his statement:
But those firm in knowledge
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
, the beginning of a new verse?

Answer: This is a point of disagreement among the scholars regarding where to pause: is it at the Name of Allah,
But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it.وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
a new sentence, or is "those firmly grounded in knowledge" conjoined to the Name of Allah, such that pausing at the Name of Allah is not required? This depends on the meaning of ta'wil (interpretation) intended. If the intended meaning of ta'wil is tafsir (exegesis) and knowing the meaning, then it is correct to conjoin it to the Name of Allah,So the verse is read:
And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
, meaning that those firmly grounded in knowledge know the meanings of the ambiguous verses, interpret them, apply them to the ruling, and refer them back to the clear verses.

And if the intended meaning of ta'wil here is: the reality to which it leads and its nature as it is, from among the hidden matters about which Allah the Exalted has informed, such as His own essence (Glorified and Exalted is He) and His names and attributes, and what is in the Hereafter of pleasure and punishment and the like. This is known only to Allah; no one knows its nature and reality except Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He),then the verse is read:
And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
،Meaning: the reality to which it leads and the manner in which it is, from among the hidden matters about which Allah the Exalted has informed, such as His own essence (Glorified and Exalted is He), His names and attributes, and what is in the Hereafter of pleasure and punishment and other things. This is known by none but Allah; none knows its manner and reality except Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He),As in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Do they await except its result? The Day its result comes those who had ignored it before will say, "The messengers of our Lord had come with the truthهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأْوِيلَهُ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ
[Al-A'raf: 53] .
