Tafsir of Surat Qaf.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Similarly, we have passed through, in what we have heard from the recitation of our imams, may Allah guide them, what came in the chapter of
Qق
regarding the great admonitions and deterrents, of which Allah the Exalted said at its end:
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind]. إن في ذلك لذكرى لمن كان له قلب أو ألقى السمع وهو شهيد
[Qaf 50:37]
For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite it in the public gatherings. He would recite it in the prayer of the festival; in the prayer of the festival, he would recite
Qق
and
The Hour has drawn nearاقتربت الساعة
, and sometimes he would recite Subhan and al-Ghashiyah.
This chapter contains great admonitions. Allah Mighty and Majestic began it with His saying:
(1) Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... (2) But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves ق* والقرآن المجيد * بل عجبوا أن جاءهم منذر منهم
[Qaf 50:1-2]
and concluded it with His saying:
(44) On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us. (45) We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat. يوم تشقق الأرض عنهم سراعاً ذلك حشر علينا يسير نحن أعلم بما يقولون وما أنت عليهم بجبار فذكر بالقرآن من يخاف وعيد
[Qaf 50:44-45]
For this reason, I call myself and you to read this chapter, reflect upon it, and contemplate it, along with the admonitions it contains, the beginning of creation and its end, and the power of Allah Mighty and Majestic.
