Types of Fasting on the Day of 'Ashura

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
O honorable Shaykh! What do you say about fasting the day after 'Ashura, when the prescribed practice is to fast the day before it? Is there an authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) establishing the fasting of the day after 'Ashura?

In the Musnad of Imam Ahmad: (Fast a day before it or a day after it, so that you differ from the Jews). Differing from the Jews is achieved either by fasting the ninth day, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (If I remain until next year, I will fast the ninth), meaning along with the tenth. It is also achieved by fasting a day after it, because the Jews used to single out the tenth day. Thus, differing from them is accomplished by fasting a day before it or a day after it. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned in *Zad al-Ma'ad* that fasting 'Ashura has four types: either fasting the tenth day alone.
Or fasting it along with the ninth.
Or fasting it along with the tenth.
Or fasting all three days. Fasting the three days also has a benefit, which is obtaining the reward of fasting three days of the month.
