Was the return of Kuwait achieved through the supplication of the sincere Kuwaitis or by seeking the help of the Americans?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Was the return of Kuwait achieved through the supplication of the sincere Kuwaitis or by seeking the help of the Americans?

The Shaykh : How? What do you mean?

The questioner : The return of what?

The Shaykh : The return from whom?

The questioner : I mean, the people, the people who are here in Kuwait. Does the return of Kuwait mean the return to its people? Was it achieved through the supplication of the sincere Kuwaitis or by seeking the help of the Americans?

The Shaykh : Allah knows best, but seeking the help of the Americans is not permissible. Causes are divided into two categories.

The questioner : Yes, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : A lawful category and an unlawful category. An effect may occur through a lawful cause, and it may occur through an unlawful cause.

The questioner : Is it possible, I mean?

The Shaykh : How is that not possible? Do you not see that those who consume riba (usury or interest) live on the money of riba, and those who sell intoxicants? So they obtain their livelihood through what Allah has forbidden, yet they are prevented from it. If the people of Kuwait returned to their land, what did they gain? They got rid of the rule of a disbeliever and fell under the rule of a disbeliever. Disbelief is one religion. So what is the outcome of this question? It is a matter of the unseen.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : And we know that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]
Did the Kuwaitis, whose land was made lawful by the unjust ruler, return to their Lord?

The questioner : I do not know, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And I am like you; I do not know.
