Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Then he was of those who believed and enjoining one another to patience and enjoining one another to mercy)

Allah the Exalted said:
And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنْ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ
[Surat al-Balad: 17] (Then he was) meaning: then, after that, he is not one who is kind to orphans and the poor, but rather he is one who has faith in Allah
[Surat al-Balad: 17] (those who believed) in whom? They believed in everything in which faith is obligatory, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified what it is obligatory to believe in when Jibril asked him about faith: (Faith is that you believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and the divine decree, its good and its evil) .
And likewise, righteous deeds are part of faith in Allah,And the righteous deeds are: every deed that brings one closer to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and it is built upon sincerity and following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), so a deed is not a righteous deed except with intention and following;Intention: that it be a deed pure for Allah,And following: by being in accordance with the Shari'ah of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
So if a person performs a deed with the utmost sincerity in it, but it is contrary to the guidance of the Messenger (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon him), it will not be accepted from him; and that is due to the lack of following,And for that reason, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Beware of newly invented matters! For every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance) And likewise, if the deed is in accordance with the Shari'ah outwardly, but there is showing off in it, then it will not be accepted and it will not be a righteous deed; For the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in the Qudsi Hadith: (I am the most in need of the partners of shirk regarding shirk. Whoever does a deed in which he associates with Me other than Me, I leave him and his shirk) .

And his statement: (And enjoining one another to patience) meaning: they advised one another to patience,And patience is of three types: 1- Patience in obedience to Allah.
2- Patience against disobedience to Allah.
3- Patience regarding the painful decrees of Allah.
So they are patient and enjoining one another to patience. Which of these types is best? The best is patience in obedience to Allah, then patience against disobedience to Allah, then patience regarding the painful decrees of Allah. And these three types gathered in the Messengers (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon them) and their followers.
So here is the Messenger (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon him) patient in obedience to Allah, striving in the path of Allah, calling to Allah, and being harmed and attacked by beating, until the polytheists intended to kill him, and he was, despite that, patient and expecting reward.
And he was also patient against disobedience to Allah; it is not possible for him to betray anyone, nor to lie to anyone, nor to be treacherous to anyone. And he was also mindful of Allah the Exalted to the extent he could. Likewise, he was patient in obedience to Allah. How much he was harmed in Allah the Exalted for the sake of His obedience! Did not Quraysh harm him until, when they saw him prostrating under the Ka'bah, they ordered someone to bring the entrails of a camel and place them on his back while he was prostrating (may Allah send prayers and blessings upon him), and he was patient in all of that?! Yusuf (peace be upon him) was patient regarding the decrees of Allah, and he was thrown into the well in the darkness of the pit, and he was harmed in Allah in prison, and despite that, he was patient and expecting reward, he did not complain and did not deny what happened to him.

And his statement:
and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ
[Al-Balad 90:17]
meaning: they advised one another to have mercy on the other, and mercy is the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic),I mean: the mercy of a person for the creatures is in the beasts and is in the speaking ones, so he has mercy on his fathers and mothers, his sons and daughters, his brothers and sisters, his uncles and aunts, and so on, and he has mercy on the rest of humanity,And he also has mercy on the beast: so he has mercy on his camel and his horse, his donkey and his cow, his goat and others,And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Have mercy on those on the earth, and He who is in the heavens will have mercy on you) .
