[The phrase: (So whoever among you can lengthen his whiteness, let him do so) Is it an insertion or not?

Your Eminence the Shaykh, may Allah preserve you: You mentioned the hadith of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Indeed, my community will be called on the Day of Resurrection with white faces and white limbs from the traces of wudu, so whoever among you can lengthen his whiteness, let him do so) and you said: that this last sentence is an insertion from the words of Abu Hurayrah, and it is his saying: [So whoever among you can lengthen his whiteness, let him do so] and Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned another hadith from Abu Hurayrah, then he said at the end: (This is how I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing it) so the Hafiz said: this is a refutation of those who say that this is an insertion, so what is your opinion regarding that?
This hadith to which he referred is in Sahih Muslim; it does not state that Abu Hurayrah went beyond the limit of the face, but he washed his forearms until he began to wash the upper arm, and he washed his feet until he began to wash the lower leg, and this is not denied; because it is not possible to wash the elbow unless one begins to wash the upper arm, and it is not possible to wash the ankle unless one begins to wash the lower leg, and this is correct.
But the addition mentioned in the hadith is not authentic, and it is from the ijtihad of Abu Hurayrah; because all those who described the wudu of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not mention that he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go beyond the ankles significantly,so the meaning of his saying in the other hadith: (This is how I saw the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) doing it) meaning: that he saw him when he washed his forearms, he began to wash the upper arm, and when he washed his feet, he began to wash the lower leg.
