The Ruling on Dealing with the People of Innovation Who Call Others to Their Innovations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Rafidah have become numerous in our neighborhood, and they have begun to interact with students who come from outside the country. They go with them to the markets and deal with them, and they have some items, so what is the solution regarding them?
If these people have activity in calling to their religious innovation, then let your activity in calling to your Sunnah be greater; for when the truth is upheld by its people, Allah Mighty and Majestic says in His Book:
Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departsبَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ
[Surat al-Anbiya: 18] But the fact that we see the activity of the people of innovation in their innovation—especially the gross innovations—Then we remain silent or say: What do we do? This is considered cowardice. If they have a call, then let your call be greater and more magnificent; for you are upon the truth and are rewarded, whereas the people of innovation, when they call to their innovations, are sinful and punished; upon them is the calamity, and upon them is the calamity of everyone they called to this innovation;Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever introduces a bad practice in Islam, he will bear its sin and the sin of everyone who acts upon it until the Day of Resurrection) .
So I urge you to have great activity. If they spend one dirham, spend two dirhams. If they come to these people in their homes and call them to come to their homes, then let your activity in this regard be greater and more magnificent.

The questioner: And their harassment of us?The Shaykh: As we said previously, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us a principle to follow: we treat them as they treat us.
