The ruling on leaving one's family with their relatives if they are people of sins, and going on a journey to seek knowledge or for da'wah
Your Eminence! I am married into a family that has some sins and circumstances, so sometimes we go on trips to seek knowledge or to call people to Allah the Exalted. I am forced to leave my family with them. Is it better to leave them, or is it better to stay with them?
If you go out on trips and it is a leisure trip, do not go out if you fear that your family will change if they go to their relatives. But if the going out is for seeking knowledge or for calling people to Allah the Mighty and Majestic, then look to see if there is anyone among the people who can take your place. If not, then staying with your family is better. Is there no one to take your place, and is the matter obligatory upon you? If so, go, but do not go far. Return to your family before nightfall and be with them.
