Guidelines for the leader's authority during travel and the ruling on disobeying him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If a person is appointed as the leader of a group during travel, what are the guidelines for his authority over them? Also, if one of the members of the group disobeys him during travel, is he sinful or not?
It is well known that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered travelers to appoint one of them as their leader so that their affairs would not be in chaos. He must be obeyed in matters related to the interests of the journey, but he is not to be obeyed in other matters. For example: If he says to one of the people with him, "Do not fast," while that person wants to fast on Monday, for example, he is not required to obey him in that. But if he said: If we are to stop at this place now, he must be obeyed.
The leader must fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and be mindful of the trust placed in him, and he must not act except in the interest of the group. As you pointed out, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not order the appointment of a leader except so that he would be obeyed, for there is no benefit in a leader who is not obeyed. He is to be obeyed specifically in matters related to the interests of the journey. It is well known that if we say he must be obeyed, then the one who disobeys him is sinful.
