Seeking reward from Allah for one's deeds

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is it obligatory to have the intention in order to receive the reward for a deed when performing it?
This is an important question, for it is known that a deed does not exist without an intention; there is no deed without an intention. Some scholars said: If Allah had obligated us to perform a deed without an intention, it would be an obligation that is beyond human capacity.
When you came to this place, did you come with an intention or without one? You came with an intention, and no sane person performs a deed without an intention. And for this reason, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Deeds are only by intentions).

But the brother's question remains: Is it a condition for the reward on a deed that one seeks the reward from Allah, or does one receive the reward even if he does not seek it?We say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward from Allah—And he did not say: out of faith alone,Rather He said: out of faith and seeking reward from Allah—his previous sins will be forgiven). Seeking the reward from Allah has a great effect on the excellence of the deed; because if you know that you will be judged as you judge, and that you will be recompensed as you act, and that the recompense is in proportion to the deed, you will perfect the deed, will you not? But if you feel that if you perform the deed, you are merely absolved of your obligation, and that you will not be punished for leaving it, then your deed is deficient.
Therefore, I urge myself and you to keep this meaning in mind: that when you perform a deed, you seek its reward from Allah. We say, for example: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever perfects his ablution and says: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he will enter through whichever he wishes). Al-Tirmidhi added: (O Allah, make me among those who repent, and make me among those who purify themselves). I want myself and you to keep in mind that if we do that, the gates of Paradise will be opened for us, so that we strive to perfect our ablution and strive to say the word of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) after finishing the ablution.
So this is a matter that we should be mindful of,and she: seeking the reward from Allah for this deed.
