The Ruling on Greeting When Entering Circles of Knowledge and Remembrance

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If a person enters a circle, should he greet or sit down and listen?
If a person enters a circle of dhikr, or Qur'an, or knowledge,Or anything else, some of the scholars say: do not greet; because one who is occupied should not be disturbed, and these people are occupied with their knowledge, or their recitation, or their dhikr.

And among them are those who say: Greet.

And the correct view is: If the gathering is a general gathering of knowledge, there is no harm in greeting and saying: Peace be upon you. Whoever hears it responds, and whoever does not hear it owes nothing.
But if the gathering is a gathering for the verification of knowledge and research, it is better not to greet; because you are disturbing the people. The same applies to the Qur'an; some people, when they are reciting from memory, if a person greets them, it disrupts their position, so the reciter is forced to start again from the beginning of the surah, or from the beginning of the verse. So a person looks at the benefit.
