The ruling on obeying one's parents in refraining from gatherings of dhikr

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A father prevents his son from attending gatherings of dhikr and scholarly lessons, and as a result, this son abandoned commitment and turned to movies and similar forbidden things. Is this father's action considered turning away from the path of Allah? And is he to be obeyed in this case?
If your father or mother forbids you from attending the gatherings, do not obey them; because attending gatherings of dhikr is good, and it does not cause harm to the parents. Therefore we say: Do not obey them, but strive to be accommodating with them,And the meaning of being accommodating: so that you do not reveal that you are going to the circle of dhikr, as if you are going to your friends or something similar.
As for the father and mother who prevent their son from attending gatherings of dhikr, their prevention is turning away from the remembrance of Allah, and they are sinful in that. What the father and mother should do, if they see their son has turned to knowledge, is to be pleased with that and to help him with everything they can; because this is a blessing from Allah upon him and upon them. Who benefits from the children when a person dies? The righteous son,As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (When a person dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: ongoing charity, or knowledge that benefits people, or a righteous son who prays for him) .
