Combining the presence of non-Muslims in the Arabian Peninsula with the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to expel them from it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The issue of the Jews and Christians remaining in the Arabian Peninsula; how do we reconcile the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): (I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula) , and that (two religions will not coexist in it) , with the fact that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) died while his armor was pledged to a Jew, and 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), who expelled the Jews of Khaybar and banished them from the Peninsula, was killed by a Zoroastrian, so he said: [Praise be to Allah that I was not killed by a man who prostrated to Allah in a single prostration] , so how do we combine these two things?

As for his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): (Two religions will not coexist in it) The meaning is: the rituals of disbelief are not to be established in the Arabian Peninsula,Meaning: churches are not to be built, the bell is not to be rung in it, and the like of that. The meaning is not that no one among the people may practice their religion privately; rather, the intent is that they should not have churches, temples, or synagogas as Muslims have mosques.

And as for His saying: (Expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula) The intent is regarding residence, whereas hired workers and the like are not included in this; because they are not residents but will be leaving.
As for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) leaving the Jews of Khaybar in it, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not leave them in an absolute, general sense,Rather He said: (We will leave you in it as long as Allah wills—or he said: as long as we will) meaning: for a set period, and this period had a reason for its end, which was in the time of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when they transgressed against 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar and the man who stayed with them, and they did not fulfill what was required of them; so 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) expelled them.
