The Ruling on Obedience to the Officials Appointed by Associations
Regarding the da'wah (calling to Islam) with us, specifically the organization, we divide our region, particularly the Association for the Revival of Heritage, which is divided into several sections, and each section has an official, and this official reports to a higher official, as a da'wah organization, in terms of lessons and other matters. So the question here is: Is obedience to this official obligatory or not?
If the organization is from the one in authority, then it is obligatory to follow what he says; because he is a deputy for the one in authority, whose obedience is obligatory in matters other than disobedience to Allah.
As for if it is an internal organization with no connection to the government, then if they are pleased for this person to be their leader, his obedience is obligatory, and if they are not pleased, his obedience is not obligatory.
